Help PLANO support Hurricane Laura relief and recovery efforts - Deadline October 1st, 2020

PLANO_Donations _Header3

On August 27, the impact of Hurricane Laura was felt in many communities across Louisiana and has left thousands of children, families, and seniors without food, power, water or shelter.

The PLANO Charity Committee has selected two local organizations to support with their hurricane relief and recovery efforts: Second Harvest and Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana. We need YOUR help to show the communities and people of Southwest Louisiana that PLANO is here to help. We have set up a Paypal donation link on our webpage to collect donations to be split evenly between the two charities and PLANO will MATCH, dollar for dollar, the first $1000 of total donations.

A little information about the two organizations and their hurricane relief efforts:

Second Harvest is making daily deliveries of food, water and supplies into the hardest hit communities, including Lake Charles and the surrounding rural parishes.  https://no-hunger.org/

Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana has raised more than $5.5 million the weeks after Hurricane Laura. It all goes to nonprofits who are directly helping people in the hardest-hit areas of Louisiana. https://www.foundationswla.org/

Both organizations are registered 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.

Donations of any size are much appreciated and can be made at www.planoweb.org. PLANO will be donating 100% of the proceeds collected.

Thank you from the PLANO Charity Committee!

Donations will be accepted until October 1st, 2020.

Louisiana Conservation Leniencies During the COVID-19 and the 2020 Historic Market Low Crisis

Louisiana Conservation Leniencies During the COVID-19 and the 2020 Historic Market Low Crisis

To All Louisiana Oil and Gas Operators:

The Office of Conservation readily recognizes and shares the concerns of and for the industry, particularly those operators whose financial safety margin has been long eroded by suppressed market prices. It is because of these concerns that Conservation is taking the steps it can, within the law, in an attempt to ease the burden on operators while maintaining its duty as a regulator to ensure responsible operations. In that light, Conservation has already begun to grant leniencies and extensions to operators on a case by case basis as requested. Attached (click link below) please find a copy of a letter from the Commissioner of Conservation, Richard P. Leyoub, in response to concerns regarding Conservation’s enforcement activities during this time of crisis.

View PDF online for more information:

www.planoweb.org/pdf/2020_03_25_Response_to_LOGA_request_RPI.pdf

Conservation would also point out that the voluntary LORA financial security program implemented last year may provide a method of freeing up operating capital currently tied up as collateral for financial security for operators in that situation. For more information on this issue, visit www.lora-inc.com

Conservation appreciates the efforts you are making and will continue to support the industry, including making every effort to keep operators operating. Be Safe!
