Kirk A. Barrell currently serves as the President of Amelia Resources LLC. Kirk holds geological degrees from Louisiana State University and Texas A&M University. He has worked as a geologist for thirty-four years exploring the onshore United States. Kirk began his employment with Amoco Production Company and has worked for several small independents as a prospect‐generating geologist. For twenty-four years, Kirk has created and managed companies pursuing ventures in the petroleum sector. Amelia Resources has closed over $300 million of transactions over the past eight years. The company is currently focused on the Austin Chalk, Eagle Ford, and Tuscaloosa Marine Shale.
